Neil Makur

I am a sophomore in High School and a Boy Scout. Both my parents are immigrants, so refugee stories hit close to home for me, and I want to do what I can to help.

Julila Catancio

I attend Newark Memorial High School. I play varsity level sports. I enjoy my diverse freshman class. I believe in equality. I am honored to help refugees settle into their new homeland.

Why We're Doing This:

We are both privileged to be born and raised in alameda country. We believe in our community helping all people in need. We are helping refugees because they are displaced. We want every refugee to feel comfortable in their new home.
